The village of Wayne spans Radnor, Tredyffrin and Upper Merion Townships. Pupils in the Radnor Township portion of Wayne attend schools in Radnor Township School District, while pupils in the Tredyffrin portion attend schools in Tredyffrin/Easttown School District. Those in the northeastern portion of the community in Upper Merion Township attend the Upper Merion Area School District.

Students in Radnor Township attend Radnor High School. Students in Tredyffrin Township attend Conestoga High School. Students in Upper Merion Township attend Upper Merion Area High School. In addition to the public schools, the Main Line area also boasts numerous private schools as well. Schools such as the Agnes Irwin School, The Haverford, School , Episcopal Academy, The Shipley School and the Country Day School of the Sacred Heart School offer area students a world class education.

From pre-school through high school and onto community college and major universities, this region has some of the finest educational institutions to be found anywhere. Local school systems include Delaware County, Chester County and Montgomery County. These are large school systems that provide many neighborhood elementary schools, as well as the larger middle and high schools. Valley Forge Military Academy is also located right here in Wayne.

For those who choose to homeschool their children, there is a strong local network of like-minded parents as well as a statewide organization and a national organization. There is even an organization called K12 Inc., that specializes in virtual learning centers.

Pennsylvania is home to some of the country's best universities and colleges. Among them are the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, LaSalle University, Drexel University, Villanova, Swarthmore College, Haverford College, Bryn Mawr College, and Cabrini College right here Wayne. The Philadelphia area is known for its strong educational system and excellent schools from pre-school to graduate school.
